We undertake efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, contributing to a more sustainable world, through initiatives such as investing in wind and solar farms, adopting self-sufficiency goals in renewable energy and reducing carbon emissions, and establishing partnerships with academia for innovative approaches to energy efficiency.
Unipar's goal is to have 100% of all the energy that supplies its factories in Brazil come from renewable sources by 2025, with 80% being self-produced. This last stage must be completed by 2024. To achieve this purpose, the company has entered into partnerships with AES Brasil, for the construction of two wind farms, one in Bahia and the other in Rio Grande do Norte, and with Atlas Energia Renovável, for the construction of the solar park in Minas Gerais.
